Award-winning Montenegrin artist Goran Ćetković received another recognition of his kind in Zurich last weekend. At the ceremonial opening of the new "Art&Life" gallery, the exhibition featured five oil paintings by a painter from Bar, the only Montenegrin artist among the ten represented authors from all over Europe, and the curiosity is that only the Croatian painter Armano Jurićević was selected from the former Yu space. In front of the Swiss art audience, Ćetković's paintings of larger formats, created in the previous three years, are now on view.

"The owners and curator of the gallery found out about me on the Internet, they asked me to send photos of ten works, from which they then chose five for the exhibition. The fact that I was included in the selection of a gallery in Switzerland, for its opening, means a lot to me, that the quality of what I do is recognized. I am also glad that my colleague Juričević from Zagreb spoke highly of my works. Cooperation with this gallery continues on the basis of a signed, very precisely drafted contract. They asked for the cooperation to be for an indefinite period, we later agreed that the trial period would be six months, during which I will have the opportunity to spend one week painting in their studio and communicating directly with the visitors of the gallery," Ćetković told "Vijesti" yesterday.

He added that due to circumstances, he could not attend the opening, because he is nearing the end of the final preparations for the solo exhibition in Belgrade, the opening of which is scheduled for Wednesday, October XNUMX. At the National Theater Club, an exhibition of twenty oil paintings will be opened by the distinguished Belgrade art critic and art historian Maja Živanović.

In Belgrade, Ćetković already exhibited this year, in March he had an exceptional response from the art public, critics and the media to the exhibition "Voices of Silence" in the ULUPUDS Gallery "Singidunum" in Knez Mihajlova. The exhibition at the National Theater Club is his second solo exhibition in Serbia, whose one of the most prominent and influential art critics and essayists, Dejan Đorić, wrote that Ćetković's canvases "as a salvation from contemporary noise and anger" soak up silence and loneliness.

"They soak, because Ćetković's face is leaking paint. With this young art ascetic, the painter Robinson, the colors flow from the characters because they are like Giger's alien monster Alien. We don't know if he paints characters or personalities, it's hard to determine with him, but some of them are wet as if they came from a cave, as if they were seen in the first waters, at the bottom of an enchanted lake, the Wolf's Den or Lucifer's well, where did they come from an ascent towards light and image is ahead", said Đorić in the essay on "Voices of Silence".
