The Podgorica police arrested MA (27) from Podgorica, on suspicion that he and IB (23) from Podgorica robbed a taxi vehicle at knifepoint on Thursday evening.
As the police said, they are still intensively searching for IB.
"Officials of CB Podgorica shed light on the criminal offense of robbery committed to the detriment of RR (48) from Podgorica. Police officers detained MA (27) from Podgorica on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of robbery. This person is suspected, along with IB (23) from Podgorica, on August 24.08.2017, 22,50 at around 37:XNUMX p.m., a Škoda taxi with Nikšić license plates, driven by the victim RR, stopped in Vuka Karadžića Street and on that occasion the two men asked to drive them to the settlement Konik in Podgorica. When they arrived in the village of Konik, they, it is suspected, demanded that the taxi driver stop the vehicle near the waste and, with the threat of a knife, demanded that he hand over the market to them. MA and IB, on that occasion, allegedly stole XNUMX euros and a Samsung mobile phone. The suspects fled in an unknown direction," the police said in a statement.
The state prosecutor in Podgorica ordered that MA be arrested, and after the hearing issued a decision on detention in police premises until he is brought before the competent judge for investigation.
