The police did not make an official statement about the powerful explosion in Tološka šuma, Podgorica, about ten minutes before 18 p.m.
As "Vijesti" was unofficially told by the police, the policemen went around the entire field and found nothing that would indicate that an explosive device had been thrown.
The detonation disturbed many residents of the surrounding settlements, and many of them came and watched the extinguishing of the fire at the site of the explosion from the nearby boulevard.
A couple of police officers were at the scene immediately after the explosion, but they soon left, leaving firefighters to control the blaze. Some of the eyewitnesses claimed that a fire broke out first and then an explosion occurred, while others said that the explosion actually caused a fire about thirty meters from the substation.
The fire broke out across the street from the Luk oil pump in Tološka Šuma.
"At 17:41 p.m., it was reported that grass and pine trees were burning behind the recycling yard in Tološi. The teams arrived at the scene at 17:50 p.m., and the fire was localized at 17:59 p.m. Two vehicles and five firefighters participated in the extinguishing. noticed anything unusual, nor did they hear any kind of explosion. The transformer station located nearby was not damaged in the fire," said the commander of the Protection Service, Andrija Čađenović.
