Marinko Banović from Podgorica was ordered to be detained for up to 30 days for the criminal offense of illegal possession of weapons.
Banović's lawyer, Zoran Piperović, told Television Vijesti that the weapon that was found did not belong to his client.
Around 11 a.m., Đuro Vujović, who surrendered to the police yesterday after two days on the run, was taken into custody by the primary state prosecutor, Jelena Protić. He was remanded in custody for up to 72 hours.
Vujović defended himself by remaining silent.
On Monday evening, Vujović escaped from the jeep driven by Banović, in which the police found a weapon.
After his arrest, Banović defended himself by remaining silent.
Police officers searched the car driven by Banović and found two snipers with optical sights and silencers, as well as a certain amount of ammunition.
In the meantime, Đur Vujović's father, Dragan Vujović, was arrested and found by the police in the family house during the search, where they also found weapons and ammunition.
He was remanded in custody for up to 72 hours.
