Amalfi Terrazza, a completely new concept that unites two countries, Montenegro and Italy through art, music, fashion and film, was opened for the first time in Podgorica Park, near the Moscow Bridge. She realized this unusual project company Pernod Ricard, on the occasion of the launch of a new drink brand from the Amalfi Coast, MALFY gin. As part of the project, in cooperation with the Faculty of Fine Arts from Cetinje and with the support of the Capital City, the amphitheater near the Moscow Bridge was repainted, as a gift to all citizens and visitors of Podgorica.
During two weeks of duration, a free and specially designed program will be organized on Amalfi Terrazza, which will be current during the upcoming two Saturdays and Sundays, June 8 and 9, as well as June 15 and 16.
"Malfy gin is a drink that brings with it the spirit of the Amalfi Coast, which is why we developed the concept of Amalfi Terrazza with special care, in order to bring the authentic experience of Italy in Podgorica to the general public. This project is an opportunity for us to combine the culture of two countries and offer good taste lovers content that will provide them with unforgettable moments. We hope that many visitors will enjoy the events that we have created for them during these two weekends and that we will start the summer ahead in the best possible way." said Vladimir Pavlović, Director of Pernod Ricard for Serbia and Montenegro and added that he is proud of the overall cooperation they achieved both with the Capital and with the entire team from the Faculty of Fine Arts under the mentorship of Professor Nataša Đurović.
In Podgorica Park, visitors can expect matinee entertainment on Saturdays (June 8 and 15), while on Sundays (June 9 and 16) Amalfi Terrazza will become an open-air cinema, with screenings of iconic Italian films. In addition to these themed evenings, within the Amalfi Terrazza concept, adult visitors will be able to try the new Malfy gin for the first time, which comes in four flavors in Montenegro: Malfy con Limone, Malfy Gin Rosa, Malfy con Arancia and Malfy Originale.
"The new artistic costume of the Podgorica amphitheater was created as a result of inspiring cooperation with students of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Montenegro. Our young artists were given the opportunity to direct their skills and talent towards the revival of a recognizable corner of Podgorica, which should once again become a gathering place, the most beautiful meetings and events. The idea was to bring the spirit of the Mediterranean to Podgorica, to infuse it with the freshness of blue horizons and sun-kissed waves. Inspired by the Amalfi Coast, we believe we have managed to leave an authentic mark and show how art can be inspiring, widely applicable and accessible to everyone" said prof. Nataša Đurović then declaring Amalfi Terraza officially open.
The project was supported by the Capital City of Podgorica, as well as the Secretariat for Communal Affairs of the Capital City, thanks to which the entire project, including the painting of the amphitheater, was realized in compliance with all procedures and professional standards.
"We traditionally support projects that contribute to a richer social and cultural life of our city, as well as a more attractive offer, both for the citizens of Podgorica and for the increasingly numerous tourists and its guests. We are very pleased that Podgorica is the city where such a project was organized, which conveys the atmosphere from the famous Italian coast in the most beautiful way, through which we once again connected our two countries and cultures." said the Deputy Mayor of the Capital City, Luka Rakčević, pointing out that he is particularly pleased with the fact that the project additionally affirms and promotes one of the most beautiful locations in Podgorica.
