Danish citizen, of Montenegrin origin, Nenad Jojić (20) was sent to the Investigation Prison on suspicion of beating and seriously injuring Podgoricanian DL in Budva.
Jojic was remanded in custody for up to 30 days by the investigating judge of the Basic Court of Kotor, Špiro Pavićević.
Pavićević, the spokesperson of the Basic Court of Kotor, confirmed that as acting judge he heard Jojić in the presence of the defense attorney.
He explained that he accepted the prosecutor's proposal and remanded him in custody due to the risk of escape. He is charged with the criminal offense of causing grievous bodily harm. Jojić was arrested four days ago in Budva, after beating a man from Podgorica who also has Danish citizenship.
The two clashed in a popular discotheque in the center of Budva. Allegedly, they had an argument over a girl who was in the company of Jojić, to whom DL was throwing things. After the security of that club asked them to leave the disco, they continued the fight in the parking lot in front of that bar.
According to the knowledge of "Vijesti", Jojić punched the man from Podgorica in the head. DL fell from the force of the impact and hit his head on the concrete.
He was urgently transported to the hospital in Kotor, from where he was transferred to the health facility in Risno. Due to the severity of his injuries, DL was hospitalized in the Clinical Center in Podgorica
