Award-winning Montenegrin artist Goran Ćetković has just received another award. His oil paintings "Space" and "Transience" will be part of the exhibition of international modern art "Art to science - science to art"' manifestation "Tesla people 2017", which is sponsored by the Tesla Science Foundation USA from New York. At the exhibition that will be opened in the prestigious Belgrade gallery "Progres" this Friday, the Bar painter is the only artist from Montenegro in the selection of 25 artists from the region, chosen by the jury of the Tesla Foundation.
"In cooperation with the Tesla Foundation, the gallery 'Progres' and ULUS, this exhibition includes works inspired by the influence of science in art itself. The art director of the Tesla Foundation, Milica Savić, contacted me and informed me that the exhibition will also include these two paintings from the series 'Voices of Silence', with which I presented myself to the Belgrade audience this March in the 'Singidunum' gallery. I am very glad that the main event of our art gathering is one of the greatest geniuses in the history of mankind", said Ćetković to "Vijesta".
He added that he is overjoyed with the very fact that he was chosen in extremely strong competition. In addition to Ćetković, the exhibition will also include works by Nikola Žigon, Jelena Kršić, Mihailo Stošović, Gala Čaki, Viktor Kiš, Dušica Pejić, prof. Miroslav Lazović, Gordana Tomić, Ivan Gračner, Slobodan Banet Savić, prof. Vukašina Milović, Aleksandra Grbović, Angelo Korunovski, Ivana Milev, Panagiotis Kalogianis, Nataša Budimlija, prof. Velizar Krstić, prof. Manolis Jianadakis, Tajane Kajtez, Marija Tanasković Papadopoulos, Mihailo Petković, Nenad Milovanović, Bojana Križanec, Matej Bizovicar, Bojan Mikulić and Milica Savić.
"For me, participation in an exhibition like this has enormous significance. Science and art are closely related and complement each other not only in this exhibition, both fields depend on ideas and theories, and artists are scientists who study people and different cultures through their work", concluded Ćetković.
