Sculptor Miodrag Šćepanović, professor David Kalaj and doctor Svetozar Savić are the winners of the highest state recognition - the Thirteenth of July Award for this year.
The decision on the laureates was made today by the Jury for awarding the award, at the session in Cetinje.
The president of the Jury was Gojko Kastratović, and the members were Ilija Vujošević, Igor Lakić, Miomir Vojinović and Asim Dizdarević.
At the previous session, held on May 25, the jury concluded that 32 candidacies met all formal legal requirements.
The jury can award up to three annual awards.
Kalaj is a professor of mathematics at the University of Montenegro.
Savić is the author of the collection of short stories "Chronicle of One Day" and the novel "Vajar", and he also wrote the book "One Hundred and Eleven Wines from Montenegrin Family Wineries".
Šćepanović is a member of the Association of Fine Artists of Montenegro. He has presented himself several times, and is a participant in numerous collective exhibitions and sculpture symposiums in the country and abroad. His creativity has been awarded numerous awards.
