The police shed light on three serious thefts committed two years ago in Podgorica and, on suspicion of having committed these crimes, arrested NR (33) from Podgorica.

They suspect that NR committed three serious thefts in Podgorica, in the period from April 30 to May 7, 2015, and on that occasion ransacked three markets: "Geronimo" in Studenstka Street, "Martinović" in Đoka Mirašević Street and "Planet " in George Washington Boulevard, from which he then stole goods and money.

It is suspected that he stole a large quantity of alcoholic beverages and cigarettes from the "Martinović" and "Planet" markets after breaking and entering, while from the "Geronimo" market he took not only alcohol and cigarettes, but also 200 euros that were in the cash register.

"The identification of NM as a suspect in the commission of these criminal acts was achieved by the officers of CB Podgorica through dedicated and continuous work, along with operational activities in the field and expert examinations carried out at the Forensic Center," said the police.

The suspected NR will be brought to the competent state prosecutor in Podgorica along with a criminal complaint.
