If your job requires sitting in front of a computer all day, it's time to take some protective measures.
SET UP THE WORK TABLE CORRECTLY
Place it where you can see the farthest point of the room. Also, don't place the computer or monitor next to the window, because too much external light creates stress for the eyes, writes menshealth.rs.
CHANGE THE FOCUS
There is one exercise "10-3-10" that anyone who works a lot in front of a monitor should repeat tirelessly. After every 10 minutes, look at a distant object that is at least 3 meters away from you. Keep your gaze on that object for 10 seconds, breathing properly and blinking.
DO NOT WORK AT THE COMPUTER IN THE DARK
The room must always be well lit. If you work at the computer in the dark, it damages your peripheral vision.
THERE SHOULD BE NO GLARE ON THE MONITOR
Try to eliminate light reflected from the monitor. Glare is a strong source of light, and because of it, our body unconsciously moves so that the eyes avoid it, and this leads to curvature of the pelvis and improper posture.
BLINK PROPERLY
A healthy eye, with normal eye pressure, blinks 10-12 times per minute, approximately every 5 seconds. When you don't blink enough, the eye gets strained, the eyes dry out and get tired quickly.
LIGHT BLINKING EXERCISE
Blink slowly and quickly 20 times, without squeezing the eyelids. Your face must be relaxed. After blinking 20 times, close your eyes and rest for a few moments.
