Birch is perceived by many as an ordinary tree, but it is more than that.
Its bark, leaves and buds are used for medicinal purposes. The leaves can be used to make a delicious tea that has many medicinal properties.
Birch tea acts as a diuretic. It improves the excretion of urine, and is used for inflammation of the urinary tract and cleansing of the kidneys. In addition, it relieves joint pain, helps with hair loss, removes dandruff and reduces acne. It removes excess water from the body, stimulates the excretion of harmful substances from the body and thus helps to remove cellulite.
Birch is often an integral part of slimming and blood cleansing drinks. It is excellent in combination with nettle, which removes spring fatigue, and dandelion, which cleanses the body.
Birch tea has a very mild effect and does not irritate the kidneys. It is recommended to drink 5-7 days before menstruation to relieve PMS.
Tea preparation:
Pour 1 tablespoon of chopped dry birch leaves with about 3 dl of boiling water. Let it stand for about 15 minutes, then strain and drink up to 3 times a day.
Note:
Considering that birch tea is a diuretic, it is important that you drink enough fluids during the day in addition to it. Pregnant women should consult their doctor before consuming, reports Radio Sarajevo.
