Montenegrin Paralympian Filip Radović and French Mateo Bohas are the winners of the table tennis Open tournament in Laško.
They beat the Spaniards Ruiz Reyes and Jorge Cartona 2:1 in the final today.
The Montenegrin-French competition in the group ended with maximum performance, with victories against the Dutch Bas Hergelink and Martins Ferreira 2:0, the Spaniards Ruiz Reyes and Jorge Cardona 2:1 and the Ukrainians Serhii Boyko and Lev Kats.
In the match for the final, Radović and Bohas were better than the Brazilian Claudio Masado and the Thai Bun Pot Silapong 2:0.
In Laško, Radović also performed in the individual co-competition and ended his performance in the quarter-finals.
His coach, Nikolaj Lupulescu, said that Radović played an excellent tournament.
"Radovic beat Hergelink, the 12th player in the world, during the individual competition, and during the team part of the tournament, the Spaniard Rejes, the seventh in the world, in addition to winning first place in the team part, will certainly mean new progress on the world PTT list. At the end of May, Radovic is expected performance for the Montenegrin national team at the Games of small countries in San Marino, and already in mid-June the Paralympic tournament from the coefficient 40 series in Bayerut, Germany," Lupulescu said.
He emphasized that the goal is maximum form for the European Championship and entry into the top ten players in the world in Filip's category until the end.
"That would mean qualifying for the World Championship, which awaits us in 2018," Lupulescu said.
