The most beautiful threads of the soul woven into verses and painting

Vesna Oborina is a doctor by profession, an artist at heart, a poet at heart. She wove the most beautiful threads in both painting and poetry, because it is inseparable for her," said art teacher Milojka Mica Pejović, who opened the exhibition of the artist who also had a literary evening in Nikšić.

The evening entitled "From Mostar to Ostrog" was organized by JU "Zahumlje" within the framework of the Culture Development Support Program in Nikšić.

Speaking about the paintings of the artist, who was born in Mostar, and has been living and working in Podgorica since 1992, when her association with Kićica began, Pejović said that "her refined and harmonious tones in watercolors and oil paintings speak of herself and her artistic qualities".

"Vesna managed with her inexhaustible strength of spirit and her creative energy to breathe a new life into the paintings, making peace with reality, with unrest, with anxiety in the soul. He brings the sensibility and strength of his personality into his works," said Pejović.

Oborina exhibited in Montenegro, Serbia and BiH, and the exhibition in Nikšić is her 31st independent presentation to the public.

"Her drawings, later translated into paintings, were her current perception of things, her current idea, sincerity of spirit and the most sincere spontaneous moment. In that creation, he recognizes himself, his creative streak and approaches his creativity seriously," said Pejović.

"With his inexhaustible curiosity, he approaches artistic motifs in a very refined way. Her creative milieu and her artistic vision as a painter and poet is very precious and leaves no one indifferent," concluded Pejović.

And then, as Oborina used to her audience, the poetic part followed. The people of Nikšić had the opportunity to hear the verses of the poet who published 11 collections of poetry, of which six were for adults, four haiku and one for children. The guests of the poetic part of the evening were the poet Dragana Mrkić and the writer Spasoje Bajović, while the poet Vjera Bojanić, who had the role of moderator, tried to bring the audience closer to Dr. Vesna

Oborin, who was awarded the "Dušan Kostić" literary prize for the book "On the bridge".

"Inspiration comes by itself. Quite simply, something attracts me and calls me, and then I reach for watercolor paints, which I often have with me, and a picture is created. Often a song that is, more or less successful, but always done from the heart. They complement each other", said Oborina, who is represented in several song anthologies, joint collections with other authors.

The reciters Bojana Radonjić, Lana Nedović and Ksenija Lakušić, as well as the violinists Lea Brkuljan and Ilija Burić, provided a special pleasure.
