Volleyball players from Zenit Kazan defended the Champions League trophy.
Tonight in Rome, in the final match of the final tournament, Zenit defeated Italy's Perugia 3:0 (25:15, 25:23 and 25:14) and won the title of European champion for the third time in a row.
The bronze medal was won by the Lube team, which defeated the Berlin team 3:1 in the match for third place.
Maksim Mihajlov (Zenit) was declared the most useful player of the final tournament of the Champions League, Luciano De Čeko (Peruđa) was the best technician, and Aleksandar Atanasijević (Peruđa) was the best corrector.
The best middle blockers of the final tournament are Marko Podraščanin (Peruđa) and Artem Volvič (Zenit), and the best receivers are Vilfredo Leon (Zenit) and Ivan Zajcev (Peruđa).
The best libero of the final tournament is Jenija Grebenikov (Lube).
The award for the fastest serve at the final tournament went to Ivan Zajcev (Peruđa) with a serve of 123 kilometers per hour.
