On the occasion of its 110 years of existence, the Cultural Art Society "Njegoš" will hold a festive concert on Tuesday evening at the Zetski Dom Royal Theater in Cetinje.
"The concert will be a kind of retrospective of a very rich artistic program, i.e. choreographies that have left an indelible mark in the past 11 decades of the existence of KUD 'Njegoš'.
"The repertoire will include dances from Montenegro and other parts of our country which, as part of folk creativity, are a true document of the identity of a nation," said KUD artistic director Draško Pejović for "Vijesti".
Pejović pointed out that the concert will be multimedia, and that in addition to the players of the Cetinje ensemble, directors, producers, actors and musicians will also participate in it.
The festive concert starts at 20 p.m.
In addition to the concert, 110 years of existence will be marked by the end of the year with an exhibition of archive photos, a concert with professional ensembles from the countries of the region, and a documentary film about KUD produced by RTV Cetinje.
"In Montenegro, there are a small number of organizations such as the KUD 'Njegoš', which has been protecting our folk, dance, singing and musical treasures from oblivion all these years, and the fact that it does so successfully is evidenced by a very large number of awards and recognitions," said Pejović. for "News".
