By now it is already common knowledge that a person needs between 7 and 8 hours of continuous sleep in order to be rested and ready for a new day.
What happens when you miss a week of sleep?
The site BrightSide made a video and explained what happens to the body and mind of a person who would not sleep for a week. Although this "project" seems unimaginable, the conditions are as follows.
The first day - the consequences are all-day fatigue and poor concentration.
On the second day, a state of fatigue and problems with memorizing and memorizing data appear.
On the third day of sleep deprivation, there are problems with speech and the inability to move and perform daily activities normally.
On the fourth day, the lack of sleep would affect the mental state of the person, so the accompanying effects would be depression and apathy.
On the fifth day, the anger phase occurs because of a serious break.
On the sixth day, in addition to physical fatigue, the mental state would be compromised. Hallucinations and mumbling during speech would be the most dominant elements.
On the last seventh day, the "zombie phase" occurs. That is, complete exclusion, a state similar to catatonia.
This is one of the most dangerous experiments because sleep is very important for immunity and the general state of health of an individual. But it's good to know how much we punish ourselves if we don't sleep enough.
