Austrian skier Marcel Hirscher confirmed his dominance in the World Cup by winning today's giant slalom in French Val d'Isere.
Hirscher was quite convincing, with a time 1,18 seconds better than second-placed Henrik Kristofferson, who has finished second behind Hirscher in the last seven giant slalom races.
Swedish Mats Olson finished third, with a second and 31 hundredths less time than the winner.
Marcel Hischer has been on the podium in every giant slalom since October 2016, including a gold medal at the PyeongChang Olympics, and his victory in Val d'Isere was the 60th of his World Cup career.
Hirscher is the leader in the giant slalom standings with 180 points. Kristofersen is second with 130, and Stefan LIc is third with 101 points.
Hiršer takes the leading position in the general classification with 280 points. Austrian Max Frank is second with 238 points.
In Val d'Isere, slalom is on the program on Sunday.
