Retrospective exhibition of prominent artist Dimitri Popović, which presents around 340 works created in the period from 1966 to 2016, in the cycles: Eros and Thanatos, Omaggio a Leonardo, Judita, Corpus Mysticum, Omaggio a Dante, Saloma, Magdalena, Marilyn Monroe , Ole Dali, Ave Mantegna, Mysterium of the Light of the Microcosm, Allegories of Arcadia, Kafka, Harmonies, Freudisms, was opened in front of a large art audience in Klović's palaces in Zagreb.

"The work of Dimitrija Popović also unites our two cultures. It is part of the narrative that witnesses the interweaving of the cultures of Montenegro and the Republic of Croatia, and that is always an additional reason for satisfaction and another invitation to strengthen cultural cooperation. In the creative process of Dmitrij Popović, the City of Zagreb and the Capital of Cetinje have a special place, through the influences, development and affirmation of the distinctive and strong poetics of artistic expression. Dimitrije Popović's place in the Croatian and Montenegrin art scene is deserved by decades of dedicated artistic work, an authentic author's approach, a large number of exhibitions in Croatia, Montenegro and abroad, and finally, a significant artistic oeuvre, which surprises and fascinates again and again in tonight's exhibition, he said. at the opening of the exhibition, Minister Ljumović.
In her address, Minister Obuljen Koržinek pointed out that Dimitrije Popović, exhibiting in the world, gained many loyal international fans of his art.
"Through the works of art exhibited here, created during the last four decades, we encounter constant attempts to define human existence and that something universal that defines us as human beings", said Obuljen Koržinek.
After the first retrospective exhibition held in the Art Pavilion in Zagreb in 1987 and the exhibition held in 2002 in the Ex Macello exhibition space in Padua, this is the most complete presentation of almost half a century of Dimitri Popović's work so far.
