Montenegrin e-player Rade Pavićević and the president of the Association of Electronic Games of Montenegro Filip Šoć they returned last night from Singapore from the World Championship organized by GEF. Pavićević represented Montenegro in the E-Football game.
"Compared to the IESF, which was held in Eilat and Israel and before that the European Cup under the EEF in Kiev and Kryvyi Rih in Ukraine, the competition in Singapore is well below expectations, especially if we take into account where it is held. However, Singapore, as a city, neutralized all those mistakes", Filip Šoć told Vijesti about his impressions of the competition and added that the situation with the current omicron strain contributed to the smaller number of competitors and poorer organization, so the measures were tightened even more after the arrival of the competitors.
"Because of the whole situation with the virus, in the end, the most important thing is that the competition was held. But above all, there is also the difference in gaming between Europe and Asia, because European gaming occupies almost 60 of the world market in terms of the quality of organizations, teams and everything else. Then comes Asia, America and Africa. For our representatives, it is very important to be a part of all gaming events in the world, first of all for the sake of gaining new experiences and acquaintances, and then also applying all that to our and regional ecosystem", believes Šoć.
He notes that SESCG has good contacts with most world federations, and the organization and communication through the IESF and the increasing strengthening of the AEF adria e-sports federation, which is becoming more and more recognizable in world gaming circles, contributed the most to this.
"In addition, our gamers are doing a good job as the best ambassadors of Montenegro in the world, so we are already recognized all over the world through various games and competitions. Honestly, for the year that was all operating under corona, we did an excellent job with our partners. Only the WSL was postponed in Seoul, which was supposed to be held at the same time as the GEF in Singapore," Šoć explains.
In Singapore, in addition to E-Football, the World Dota 2 competition - men's and women's competition and Street Fighter took place.
"We have big plans for next year, and already according to the announcement, a large number of tournaments, cups, European and world competitions, whose prize funds will exceed two million dollars in the next year, of which the IESF and the WSL will each receive $500.000", reveals Šoć and announces that for the next season gamers can expect tournaments, cups, qualifications in various games including E-football, NBA2k22, Tekken7, Street Fighter, Slash Royale, Brawl Stars, CS:GO, Dota 2 and many others.
There was no respite for Pavićević this year. After the Sinalco League where he won fifth place, he participated in the Adria Cup where he was first, then E-Euro2021 where he won ninth place, and he had the same result in the GEF competition.
"Honestly, I prepared well for this tournament. It should be taken into account that E-Football is a continuation of the cult PES and that this is a beta version that only expects an 'update' that will be stable in the spring. The competition was good, but unlike some previous tournaments, and due to the corona situation, several quality players from Europe did not come. That's why there were new players from Asia and South America", were the impressions of Pavićević, who admitted that he was not satisfied with the result he achieved in Singapore.
"I know I could have done more. When it comes to the group stage, I competed with competitors from Hungary, Libya and Great Britain. I won Libya 5:1, Great Britain 7:1 and as the first in the group I played in the round of 2 with a competitor from Vietnam, against whom I was defeated in the first match 1:XNUMX with many missed shots, and in the second match on penalties. Pavicevic recalled. He does not hide that it is not easy to be constantly focused on the game.
"I'm sorry, I felt that I could go much further this time, but sometimes luck is needed along with a good game. It's hard to endure all that, because today you can play excellently, and already tomorrow there is a drop in concentration that can cost you a medal", concludes Pavićević.
