Last weekend, the second qualifying tournament for the eSports World Championship was held, which will be held in Romania at the end of the summer.
Podgorica hosted two titles this weekend - Tekken 7 on Saturday and e-Football on Sunday, and the qualifying tournaments were held in the Ecentar Redbull Hub game room.
The title Tekken 7 brought together 17 of the best competitors who fought until the very end for the next place.
Given that the first qualifying tournament that was supposed to be held last weekend in Pljevlja, in the Disney Gaming arcade, was canceled, this tournament had two slots for the final tournament, and the players took the competition extremely seriously.
After the group stage played in the round robin system, we got eight competitors who continued their journey in the double elimination skeleton. (Leather_Warlord, Necro, Spaart4n, JakeDunc, Vanja, ConeSenpai, Srki and That One Guy).
They reached the very end Branko Leather_Warlord Jugović i Nemanja ConeSenpai Jocic, who won in the final matches Necroa i That One Guy.
And while last year Jugović represented Montenegro at the European and World Championships in Tekken 7, this is Jočić's first victory at a tournament.

"The competition was quite strong and I didn't really know the style of the other players very well," Jočić, who has been playing Tekken 7 since 2017, confirmed to Vijestima after the tournament and admits that this is his first tournament win.
As this game has over 50 characters, and some of them have more than 200 different moves, Jočić chose Hwoarang for the tournament in Podgorica.
"I played with him during the entire tournament, and his skills led me to victory," boasted Jočić.
The very next day, another individual e-sport was in focus when it came to the capital of Montenegro, and this time fans of football simulation gathered in the aforementioned game room.
The matches were uncertain, and the winner of the tournament, who secured a place in the semi-finals, is a former PES representative Rade Pavićević. In the final, he also defeated his teammate from the e-club Buducnost mode 11v11 Marko Vuletić.
"The competition was at an enviable level, a large number of good players registered and I think that the tournament fully met the expectations of all of us. It's hard to say who was my toughest opponent, because all the boys surprised with their quality, but somehow the final was the hardest for me because I had a very strong opponent, Marko Vuletić," he admitted in an interview with Vijesti.
The fact that PES fans switched to e-Football by force of circumstances greatly affected their game last year, but Pavićević claims that all competitors are slowly improving.
"Some players surprised me with their quality, and I'm sure that with training and constant playing, they can be at an even higher level. "As far as I'm concerned, I'm still not in good shape, but I expect that the form will be right for the final tournament," promises Pavićević.

For now, it is known that the winner of last week's tournament will also play in the semi-finals Bojan Tatar, who was sure that he would play the final with Pavićević.
"We will see each other in the final and I think with two other opponents it will be a real pleasure for everyone who follows our e-football scene, and certainly beyond. Certainly, it is easier to prepare for the semi-finals and final when you know who is waiting for you", admits Pavićević and reveals who else he would like to see in the semi-finals.
"There are still two places left, and there are many good players. However, somehow I am betting on players who always show a lot in tournaments - there is the finalist of this tournament Marko Vuletic, then a very strong player Marko Unkašević, my teammates from Buducnost 11v11- Ivan Raznatović i Drago Mandic", notes Pavićević.
Most e-Football players know each other, they often play together before important tournaments, and the gamer discovers how difficult it is sometimes to make tactics when playing against each other:
"Yes, we all know each other more or less well, we know the style of the game, so there can hardly be any major surprises, but there are always small tactical changes that can bring an advantage, so as I said, I expect a real fight for first place and enjoyment for all spectators ", concludes Pavićević.
A DOTA 2 tournament was planned for this weekend in Bar, however, only one team appeared - Just Casual, so they directly qualified further. The tournament in Pljevlja where CS:GO was supposed to be played was cancelled.
