In Katowice, from June 28 to July 3, the European e-sports games will be held as part of the European Olympic Games.
The European e-sport games in Katowice were opened by the President of Poland Andrzej Duda, and the cooperation between the GEF global e-sport cooperation and the European Olympic Committee was announced by the presidents Paul Fost, GEF president, and Spiros Kapralos, president of the European Olympic Committee.
The President of the Olympic Committee of Poland and the Minister of Sports as well as the Mayor of Katowice spoke at the ceremony.
During the opening, it was said that it is the time of new technologies and that gaming is the most influential part of the industry, and that this event targets Katowice and Poland as a gaming, IT and technology center.
The delegation of Montenegro at this event is represented by the president of SESCG Filip Šoć, e-football player Rade Pavićević, e-football players Dina Krnić and Nađa Rajković, as media part of the association.
This is a big step for gaming and an announcement that it can soon be expected at the Olympic Games.
