The first Adria gaming conference on the topic: "Development and perspectives of gaming and esports in the Adria region: Connection, cooperation and opportunities" organized by the Electronic Sports Association of Montenegro will be held in the next few days.
"I hope that what we are doing for gaming in Montenegro will become a practice for the entire Adria region, because only as a whole can we be competitive on the world market. The project, like last year's European Championship in e-Football, was the most demanding thing that the Association has organized since of its foundation and a project that launched Montenegro to the very top of European e-Sports. Conferences like this are good for people to get to know everything that makes up the core of gaming directly from the people who lead it at the European and world level as well as in the Adria region," said is the president of the Association of Electronic Sports Filip Šoć.
Tiago Fernandes, President of EEF (European e-Sports Federation), Ante Šaravanja, Vice-President of AEF (Adria e-Sports Federation), Goran Kuzmic, Director of the E-Adriatic League will speak at today's conference, which will be held in the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro. , Luka Kulišić, Director of PES Expert and Simona Ivanovska, Representative of the IESF Athletes committee (International e-Sports Federation).
"With the speed with which everything is developing at the world level, three or four such conferences are needed annually for the Adria region alone. We realistically meet 10 times a year at various competitions and conferences and discuss this and similar matters. However, it is always first of all is the competition we are coming to. Here we will have five full days to first of all get to know how gaming works in Montenegro and what kind of support we have for its development from the media, partners and state institutions," points out Šoć.
He believes that their experiences will be valuable because gaming will be talked about in the coming days in Bar, Budva, Cetinje and other Montenegrin cities that will be visited by the conference participants.
"The experience of countries that come from outside this region is always significant, but that does not mean that they have an advantage over us. The current situation is that the Adria region is the leader in Europe in all segments of gaming, we only need a better understanding of the providers decision in all countries and I am sure that in a year or two this region would be the center of e-Sports and gaming in Europe", notes Šoć and reveals that the idea of the whole project is for people who come to Montenegro to see all the beauties of our country and get to know what we can offer them compared to others.
"Montenegro is a godsend for gaming tourism because it has the entire infrastructure, especially in the off-season. Thus, our guests, in cooperation with the Tourist Organizations of Podogrica, Bar, Budva and Cetinje and the Secretariat for Tourism, Economic Development and Investments in Herceg Novi, will have the opportunity to visit the old cities, Bar and Budva, cruise on Lake Skadar and the Crnojevica River, visit the capital Cetinje and learn about the history of our country, as well as perhaps go to one of the best events that can be organized in Montenegro, which is rafting on Tara. we will hold several internal meetings of the Adria Federation where we will discuss the future of the same. We will have a conference on July 27 from 12 noon in the Chamber of Commerce where all guests will talk about gaming and e-sports. We are planning to visit the Ministry of Sports, the Olympic Committee of Montenegro , the Innovation Fund, our media partners Vijesti and the production of MNEsport TV. The guests will also be received by the officials of the Capital City in the best Game center in the Balkans - True Gamer as part of the new student dormitory", reveals the plans of the multi-day conference Šoć.
"At the end, all events will be recorded and interviews will be conducted with everyone and a mini-film will be made from it, which will serve to present Montenegro at the international level as a gaming destination," he notes.
For this event, they received the support of the European and World Federations, on whose behalf the President of the European Federation, Tiago Fernandes, and Simona Ivanovnska, the IESF World Federation, will come in front of the IESF athletics committee. There will also be representatives of Adria countries and members from Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Albania and North Macedonia, as well as representatives of e-Sports from Belgium, Hungary, Ukraine and Portugal.
"I think that this is the largest organized gaming conference in the Balkans and that this is just the beginning of a beautiful story, and I am glad that as the president of the Electronic Sports Association of Montenegro and the director of the Adria Federation, this story starts from here," Šoć concludes.
