The Serbian Federation of Electronic Sports and E-Sports (SESE) had the honor of being one of the guests of the Adria Gaming Conference. After winning gold at the great EEF Championship in 2022, Serbia visited Podgorica again to meet with delegates of e-sports federations from 10 European countries, primarily from the Adriatic region, as well as representatives of the European e-sports federation (EEF) and the International e - sports federation (IeSF), which was hosted by the president of the Electronic Sports Association of Montenegro (SESCG), Filip Šoć.
It is common knowledge that the gaming and e-sports industry is one of the leading in the entire world. Its economic importance is enormous, and its value is almost eight times greater than the film and music industries. The potential of gaming and e-sports is practically unlimited because it opens doors for young people to many other professions, such as IT, animation, acting, music and many, many others. E-sports became part of the program of the European Olympic Games for the first time this year, which was also discussed during the conference.
Despite this, e-sports and gaming still don't get the attention they deserve, which is why it was so important to hold this conference. In an age in which e-sports is most often not considered a sport (which it is), e-sports associations of the Adria region and the whole of Europe must stick together, strengthen cooperation, exchange experiences and work on the further development and promotion of e-sports in region. This was exactly the goal of the Adria gaming conference.
It was extremely inspiring for the SESE association to participate in the conference and its discussions, which radiated a sense of support and friendship. This feeling continued outside the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro during numerous activities organized by Filip Šoć, from a visit to one of the largest gaming centers in the Balkans, TRUE GAMER, to a cruise on Lake Skadar and rafting on Tara.
After this conference, it is clear that the Adria region is on the right track to become the main e-sports center in the whole of Europe. On behalf of all the members of the SESE association, it was a real pleasure for us to be guests of the conference and we believe that the Adria region has a very bright future in e-sports and gaming.
