Minister of Sports Vasilije Lalošević supported the work of the Electronic Sports Association of Montenegro and pointed to the potential of the entire esports and gaming industry, as well as those closely related to it.
This was announced today by the Union of Electronic Sports of Montenegro.
Lalošević said that the Ministry of Sports has excellent cooperation with the Federation.
"It is one of the sports that is on an incredible run. And it is a sport that brings improvement for our country as well. It brings many innovations, brings people with large capital who would invest in Montenegro from the IT technology side. And, most importantly , brings a synchronization, organization and concept that cannot fail. Full support for those guys," said Lalošević to TV Budva, according to the Association.
The Association says that it will continue to work on the promotion of Montenegro as a boot camp destination that can extend the tourism of Montenegro for six to ten months during the year.
"Also, the organization of major tournaments and festivals hosted by Montenegro last year during the European Championship in efootball ie fest, as well as various conferences that have been organized in Montenegro several times in the last year. Montenegro has been visited by over 50 European countries in the last year participating in all events related to this industry, as well as the president of the World Esports Federation, Vlad Marinesku, who is also the director of one of the largest sports federations - the Judo Federation, Tiago Fernandes, the president of the European eSports Federation and the founder of the largest female gaming competition, girls gamers, as well as the secretary of the world federation Boban Totovski," the Alliance's announcement reads.
They said that Montenegro is one of the leading countries in sports and gaming in Europe, as well as the founder of the Adria Federation, whose conference ten days ago was attended by 13 European countries.
"If the state recognizes the potential of this industry in time, we can become a mecca for gamers who would first of all come here with teams for boot camps, and then a large part of them would stay to live and continue their careers from here. Currently, the only problem is the law on digital nomads, which would give those same people an easier way to obtain residence as well as the possibility of obtaining permanent residence in Montenegro, and in return, in addition to investing in the economy, they would also receive the best promotion through the world tournaments in which they perform, and in which they would play under the flag of Montenegro," they said from of the Alliance.
They also say that the best ambassador of Montenegro in the whole world is the gamer and one of the best CS GO players in the world Pavle Bošković Maden.
