As part of the second day of the "Days of Science and Innovation" festival, the Association of Electronic Sports of Montenegro presented itself, it was announced from that Association.
On that occasion, they held a mini-conference to familiarize the attendees with the concept of electronic sports, with the basic activities and potential of the gaming industry.
The speakers were Filip Šoć, president of the Association, Vladimir Roganović, gamer, commentator and game reviewer, Mirko Vičević, former Montenegrin water polo player, and the moderator was Mia Kraljević Ćalasan, representative of the NGO 4Future Montenegro.
Šoć presented the Association to those present and spoke in general about the potential of the gaming industry, with special reference to the possibilities of Montenegro in this regard.
Roganović talked about his experience as a gamer, commentator and game reviewer, and especially about the Dota2 game and world level competitions.
"Mirko Vičević spoke about his experiences as a top athlete, especially from the aspect of educating young people and encouraging team spirit, while expressing his willingness to present sports to young people in a new way, with a combination with information technologies," the announcement states.
"The interesting presentations of the introductory speakers also caused a lot of questions from the audience regarding this complex and powerful industry and the possibilities of adapting gamer opportunities with educational content, and at the same time, the possibilities of channeling and controlling their application and use among younger generations," it added.
They said that the visit of representatives of the Association of Electronic Games and NGO 4Future Montenegro is the result of connecting with the Maritime Faculty of Kotor, and the "Days of Science and Innovation in Kotor" are, as stated in the announcement, the first step in the realization of joint activities.
"In this sense, the intensification of this cooperation has been announced through announced joint projects, some of which have already been launched, as well as hosting and workshops that would be held in the organization of the Kotor Maritime Faculty for students and the wider population of Kotor and the coast," the announcement reads.
"The team of the Kotor Maritime Faculty of the University of Montenegro really invested a lot of work and effort, above all enthusiasm, in order to organize and implement a festival like this in Kotor. We were supported in this by the Municipality of Kotor, the Ministry of Science and Technological Development and several other organizations and companies, as well as our students, and thanks to all of them and the positive impressions of the huge number of visitors, we can say that the Festival and our basic idea really succeeded! When you are supported by organizations such as the Electronic Sports Association of Montenegro, offering specific future cooperation from the well-being of our children and youth, and for our institutions and for the whole of Montenegro, then I can say that our expectations in that sense have been greatly exceeded! you will certainly be informed," said Tatijana Dlabač, dean of the Maritime Faculty in Kotor.
