Montenegrin gamers at the competition in Libya

The Mediterranean e-sport games will be held in Libya from August 6 to 10, and Montenegro will also participate.

The competition, in which representatives of 14 countries will participate, will be held in Benghazi, and gamers will try their hand at two titles - e-Football and Tekken8. What is different about this competition is that in both national titles, the participants will have representatives from both the male and female categories.

Thus, Montenegro will be represented in the title of e-Football by a long-time member of the national team and one of the best players Rade Pavićević, while this will be the first competition in the mentioned title for Bojan Goranović. In one of the most popular martial arts simulations - the game Tekken, the colors of Montenegro will defend Aldin Taljanović i Nevena Rosandić Marković, while the team manager will be Miloš Pejaković, and the Montenegrin delegation will be led by the president of the Electronic Sports Association Filip Šoć.

"The prize fund is 16 thousand dollars and these are preparations for the Mediterranean Games that will be held in Italy in 2026. It is planned that, in addition to other sports, e-sports titles will be included in those Mediterranean Games. It has already been announced that in 2027, at the European Olympic Games in Istanbul, e-sports will be part of the program for the second time in the history of the EOK, after last year's competition in Katowice," said Šoć.

He points out that it is interesting that the World Olympic Committee announced next year cooperation with Saudi e-sport and the organization of the world e-sport Olympic Games, which will be held in the capital of Saudi Arabia - Riyadh.
