The mother of the deceased rapper, Carmela Volas, described the concert as an "amazing tribute" to her son.
"I know he would be thrilled to have the opportunity to see how his love for games continues to bring people together in different spaces, just like his music does."
Juice WRLD, real name Jared Anthony Higgins, died in 2019 due to an overdose.
In a press release, Wallace added:
"The music video for 'The Party Never Ends' is finally here. I'm glad that Jared's fans can finally hear the music they've been waiting for! When Jared was a child, he developed a love for globes that lasted for years; he was fascinated by their spin. Looking back, I realize it was prophetic of what was to come. He became a Juice WRLD artist and touched people around the world through his music," she proudly pointed out.
His lyrics were honest and expressed his struggles with mental health and addiction.
“Jared's openness helped people realize that they are not alone; I consider him a pioneer in normalizing the conversation about mental health. I hope his music continues to have a positive impact on the lives of people around the world and I pray that no one suffers in silence," added the rapper's mother.
After Juice WRLD's death, Wallace founded the organization Live Free 999 in his honor. The goal of this humanitarian organization is to "normalize the conversation about mental health" and "remove the stigma" associated with seeking help for mental health problems.
