At the prestigious awards ceremony The Game Awards 2025, held on December 11 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, the big win went to the French game "Clair Obscur: Expedition 33", which took home the title of Game of the Year and achieved a record number of wins.
This independent RPG took home nine awards, more than any other game in the history of the ceremony, surpassing even major AAA titles.

- "Doom: The Dark Ages" won the Accessibility Innovation Award.
- "Hades II" was named the best action game.
- “Hollow Knight: Silksong” received recognition in the action/adventure category.
- "The Midnight Walk" is the best in the VR/AR category.
h3: In mobile games, the victory went to "Umamusume: Pretty Derby".
- "No Man's Sky" is recognized as the best game that is constantly evolving.
- "Baldur's Gate 3" received the award for best community support.
In the esports categories, Counter-Strike 2 and Team Vitality won the top prizes, and Chovy was named the best esports athlete.
