Montenegrin phygital shooter team EndFastPls (EFP) will compete for third place at the prestigious Games of the Future competition, which ends today in Abu Dhabi.
In the semi-finals, they were defeated by the Russian team DSTU 2:1, after an extremely uncertain and dramatic match.
The first map, Dust2, chosen by the opposing team, started with the Montenegrin team in mind. EFP had a significant lead of 12:7 at one point, but the Russians managed to get back into the match and turn the score around. The game was played point for point, and the map even went into overtime twice before DSTU managed to end it in their favor.
On the second map, Ancient, which was the choice of the EndFastPls team, the Montenegrins opened the match with a bang and took a 7:0 lead. However, the opposing team managed to consolidate and catch up, and the map ended with a close score of 13:11 in favor of the EFP team.
The third, decisive part of the match took place in the laser tag segment, but the Montenegrin team lost, and the final result of the match was 2:1 in favor of the DSTU team.
Team EFP will play for third place with team Minsk House.
