Final Fantasy X gets 25th anniversary collectible vinyl

Square Enix will mark the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy X with a new vinyl edition, which is now available to fans in the UK.

Earlier this year, Square Enix confirmed that three new vinyl collections would be released to mark the 25th anniversary of the release of Final Fantasy X, which was released in Japan on July 19, 2001, and followed by a sequel in 2003.

The games are set in the fantasy land of Zanarkand and follow a group of adventurers trying to stop the Sin monster that is ravaging the world. To date, the two titles have sold over 21 million copies worldwide.

A single vinyl release will feature Nobu Uemacu's theme song "To Zanarkand," along with numerous remixes and live recordings. The 12-track House Grooves album features signature songs from the game, such as "Zanarkand," "Seymour Battle," and "A Dream That Will One Day End," combined with "deep, resonant deep house sounds."

There is also the Eternal Calm collection in double vinyl (2LP) format, which will contain a carefully selected 20 songs from the original Final Fantasy X soundtrack. The music was composed by Nobuo Uematsu, Masashi Hamauzu, and Junja Nakano.

The vinyl was originally only available to fans in Japan, but Eternal Calm is now available for pre-order via the UK Square Enix store, ahead of a release planned for August 2026. The collection will also be available in North America and Europe.

The Eternal Calm Final Fantasy X double vinyl costs £79,99 and pre-orders are already open.

In addition to the 20 songs on vinyl, buyers will also receive a download code for an additional 89 tracks from the original Final Fantasy X soundtrack.

"The album cover features a commemorative 25th anniversary illustration by Tetsuya Nomura, while the vinyl itself features a translucent color inspired by seascapes, creating a striking item that evokes the world of Final Fantasy X wherever you display it," the statement said.
