"Bring Me The Horizon" frontman Ollie Sykes and "Spiritbox" singer Courtney LaPlante have teamed up with producer Grabbitz on a new song "If The Sun Burns Out Tonight", made for the popular video game Valorant.
The song will be presented as part of Champions Shanghai 2026, the finale of one of the largest Valorant competitions, which will be held from September 24th to October 18th.
Sykes said he has always been drawn to projects that combine music and storytelling, which is why collaborating with Riot Games, Grabbitz, and LaPlante seemed like a natural fit.
"I've always been drawn to projects that blur the line between storytelling and music, so collaborating with Riot Games, along with Grabbitz and Courtney, and entering the world of Valorant seemed like a completely natural fit," said Sykes.
LaPlante revealed that she is particularly excited about collaborating with Sykes, with whom she has already performed live over the years.
"I can't wait to release this song! Oli has given me the opportunity to perform 'Bring Me The Horizon' live many times, and now we're finally presenting something we've been working on together," she said.
Producer Grabbitz believes that it is the blend of their different musical sensibilities that makes the song special.
"Oli, Courtney and I came from different parts of the world, and we ended up with a song that naturally blends my electronic world with the heavy sound of 'Bring Me The Horizon' and 'Spiritbox'. The three of us just clicked, and the result is, I believe, the best Valorant anthem yet," Grabbitz is sure.
