Grand Theft Auto 6 will not use artificial intelligence, confirmed Strauss Zelnik, CEO of Take-Two Interactive, the company that publishes the game. According to him, Rockstar Games continues to build its virtual worlds by hand, which he considers one of the studio's key characteristics.

"Generative AI plays no role in what Rockstar Games is currently building. Their worlds are hand-crafted, and that's what sets them apart. They build them from scratch, building by building, street by street, neighborhood by neighborhood. They're not procedurally generated, nor should they be. That's what makes for great entertainment," Zelnik said.

Take-Two, however, is exploring the possibilities of this technology in other segments of its business.

The company is currently conducting "hundreds of pilots and implementations" to determine how AI can increase efficiency, reduce costs, and simplify routine tasks, freeing up creators to focus on more complex and creative work.
