Ivan Čojbašić, a third-year directing student at the FDU from Cetinje, was yesterday on the basketball courts in Njegoševo Park shooting shots for his film, which will be part of a regional project.
"The film is part of an omnibus, and everything was designed by student Marina Jurišić from the Zagreb Academy, who networked Cetinje, Sarajevo, Belgrade, Zagreb and Skopje. Our story is a city story from Podgorica, which will probably be the last in the omnibus, and follows a boy who lives in a home and, through a big event, which is a robbery, learns that in life he has to bear responsibility and consequences", he told Vijesta Čojbašić with whom I will receive my bachelor's degree.
He is also the co-author of the screenplay together with Milo Masoničić, a dramaturgy student from Cetinje FDU.
"A year ago, a competition was held where a completely different scenario won. Then the theme of the omnibus was changed, so we could adapt to it and write a new one. "Writing the script was a nice and long experience for Milo and me, it took us a lot of time to finish everything, we did a lot of rewriting," reveals Čojbašić.
They found inspiration in Dino Bucati's work "Attack on the Great Procession".
"We transferred that story from Italy to Montenegro. Since it was the XNUMXth century, due to the production, we transposed it to the present day, and I think we succeeded in that. "Bucati's story is very poetic, and we adapted it to today's time, so it is much more corrupt and cruel, without the romanticism of life that he gave to his work," reveals Čojbašić.
The main roles were entrusted to Miloš Pejović and the young Petar Jaredić.
"Petar attends an acting school, he is great even though he is only 12 years old, and his partner in crime is Pejović, while the villain is played by Danilo Čelebić. We wanted to have one-sided characters, the type that are urban clichés, so that they are clear and easier for the actors to interpret. Maja Stojanović also appears in the film, and we hired a lot of extras," said Čojbašić.
Yesterday, his classmates Sead Šabotić and Nemanja Lakić kept him company on the field, and the interlocutor of Vijesti points out that it has become an established practice "to be there for each other".
"It's always easier when someone is there to help, to give suggestions, their opinion. It happens, since we are filming for a long time, that at some point we do not see clearly what is happening in front of us, so it is useful that they are there", boasted Čojbašić. Even though he is young and without much experience, he claims that it is not difficult for him to "get along" with the crew during filming.
"I have a gentle nature, but since I am silent and speak softly, I am always listened to carefully. It is not difficult to achieve authority on the set, because we agree everything in advance, and it is always mine last," he says.
When asked if he will participate in festivals with his film, Čojbašić admitted that he is always interested in it.
"I don't know what the conditions are, since the film is part of an omnibus, but why not?" The film is made for the audience, not for us," he concluded.
