The current production of the Montenegrin director Nikola Vukčević "Boys from the Street of Marx and Engels" was selected for the best feature film at the Fingal Film Festival held in the capital of Ireland, Dublin.
The award was accepted the night before on behalf of the director by his friends Sunčica and Janko Cukić, from Podgorica on temporary work in Dublin, it was announced from the production company "Galileo", which is behind this achievement.
"Boys" beat the Austrian film "La Vie Nous Appartient" directed by Aleks K. Lee.
The night before it was awarded in Ireland, Nikola Vukčević's film was screened in England, at the London Raindance Festival, which is considered one of the largest European independent film festivals.
"Boys" premiered in London on September 27, and had a repeat screening last night.
"Boys" premiered in Podgorica on November 26 last year, and the main roles are played by Momčilo Otašević, Goran Bogdan, Ana Sofrenović, Emir Hadžihafizbegović, Nebojša Glogovac and Branka Stanić.
The film is the story of Stanko, who intends to kill a man for the first time in his life, and his younger brother Vojo, who is about to make love for the first time, and both of them feel inadequate for the situation.
