Hollywood actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson publicly thanked Steven Spielberg as he left hand and foot prints in cement outside the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood.
The wrestling champion turned actor called Spielberg one of his idols and thanked the Oscar-winning director for sending him a sudden and unexpected card.
"This is a man who has inspired me for years, inspired the movie and created the characters that I love. That man told me: 'you are good and keep it up,'" Johnson said, according to Reuters.
Johnson's latest film is the action "San Andreas" where he plays a rescue helicopter pilot who has to save his daughter after an earthquake destroys the coast of California. The film hits theaters on May 28.
Johnson (43) became one of the highest paid and "most profitable" actors in Hollywood thanks to his role in the franchise "Hell Streets" (Fast and Furious). The seventh installment of "Hell Streets" earned more than 1,4 billion dollars at the box office.
