Host Ilija Pejović started his career as a radio host in 1999.
"It was that difficult time after the bombing, and as a high school graduate, I found myself in a dilemma whether to continue my education or to look for a job. Should I mention that I'm not a bourgeois child, so work was, after all, a closer option to start with," he reveals.
He states that he was lucky when he applied for the competition for new presenters of Radio Elmag.
"I wasn't a regular listener, but my sister heard the ad and 'timidly' offered me the idea to apply," he says.
Demanding television production
The color of his voice, but hopefully other qualities, interested the then management and after several rounds of elimination, he remained in the shortlist.
He says that he prefers the part of the job where he is not "pictured", so he tries to balance those two worlds and be of help to television if necessary.
Later, he was hired along with three others, out of a total of about a hundred applicants.
"With his arrival at RTV Atlas, the need to get involved in certain television projects from time to time somehow became imposed."

About what is the biggest difference between TV and radio broadcasting, he points out that it is precisely the most obvious one, radio-sound, and television images and sound.
"Of course, that's just a superficial observation. Television production is much more demanding, it involves more personnel, techniques, organization, and money. The true embodiment of the saying 'as much money as music'. Simply, a good idea is not enough," he says.
The need for musical expression
At the same time as a presenter, he was also involved in music.
"Although I have behind me a single recorded seven, eight years ago, as well as the experience of working with a band, I admit that singing is not my strong point"

He points out that it was never excessive ambitions to be a big music star, "simply the need to express myself in another way".

With constant media involvement, it is difficult to organize time for additional interests, so, as he says, periods of lesser or greater involvement in music constantly alternate with him.
"I am currently in a positive phase," he says.
