"Peace of Our Lady" in Sarajevo

The documentary film by the famous Montenegrin filmmaker Vladimir Perović, "Peace of Our Lady", produced by the Tivat Culture Center and with the support of the Municipality of Kotor, was officially included in the selection of the 26th Sarajevo Film Festival in 2020.

The film was shot in 2019 during the period of the highest tourist attendance, and premiered in November of the same year at the Tivat Culture Center and at the Boka Cinema in Kotor.

"The hero, the protagonist, the sufferer of the action, the reluctant actor of this story is a place of peace, purity and tranquility: an almost five-century-old shrine on a small island, Our Lady of Škrpjela near Perast. Today, he is attacked by a strange antagonist, a very active actor, with many faces: speed, noise, superficiality and vanity of the modern age. Heavenly versus earthly, transitory versus eternal, material versus spiritual... Our Lady overcame ages and challenges. The director wonders if he will survive under the onslaught of the modern age and mass tourism," the description of the film states.
