Contemporary Montenegrin cinematography will be presented in Argentina, with the support of the Film Center of Montenegro and through the initiative of Silvana Markovič from Gestion Cultural from Buenos Aires, Cine Club Nucleo and Cine Arte. Thus, the first cycle of contemporary Montenegrin films in Argentina will begin today and will be available to interested audiences via streaming platforms, i.e. the virtual room of Arte Lumiere Cinema (https://cineartelumiere.com.ar/).

"In the virtual room, during three weeks, six films of various genres, selected by the organizers, will be shown: drama, thriller, comedy and 'custom' film. Through this unique opportunity, the Argentinian audience will be able to learn more about Montenegro, due to the fact that Montenegrin films have not had commercial screenings in Argentina so far," the release of the Film Center of Montenegro states.

Starting today, two films will be shown every week, and the repertoire includes: "The needle under the threshold" directed by Ivan Marinović and "You have the night" by Ivan Salatić, which will be shown today, then on August 13 "Under the bridge, among the stones" in directed by Pavel Simonović and "Laziness" directed by Aleksa Stefan Radunović, on August 20 he was booked for Andro Martinović's film "Between Day and Night" and "Breast" by Marija Perović.

The cycle of Montenegrin films in Buenos Aires was supposed to be held in May this year, at the invitation of the Matica Montenegrin in Argentina and with the help of the Embassy of Montenegro, but due to the corona virus pandemic, the cycle was moved from the cinema to a virtual room, in order for Montenegrin expatriates, but also to all residents of Argentina, offered new quality content that can be watched from home.
