Will we finally meet Sauron?

The authors of the "Lord of the Rings" series, produced by Amazon, continue to publish details about the franchise based on the works of JRR Tolkien. What is currently known is that almost no character from the "Lord of the Rings" films will appear in the series, or at least not in the edition known so far. There are certain assumptions that the series will follow the main villain Sauron before he became the Dark Lord in the warrior edition, known from the opening part of Peter Jackson's film trilogy, the media reports citing the interpretations of fans of Tolkien's works.

Amazon has revealed that the series will take place during the second age of Middle-earth, which lasted more than 3.000 years and ended when King Isildur of Gondor cut off the ring from Sauron's hand, demolishing his fortress of Barad Dur and destroying his physical manifestation. What is known to filmmakers and fans of Tolkien's books is that Frodo's journey and the entire War of the Ring take place in the third age, that is, one age later than the announced series.

The official synopsis states that the series will deal with a time when "the greatest villain to ever come from Tolkien's pen threatens to cover the entire world of humans, elves and dwarves in darkness", which, judging by the reactions of fans of this popular world, is a sign that it will deal with Sauron, when he appeared in his beautiful and honest form, under the name of Anathar, Lord of Gifts.

In the texts from "Silimarlion" it is written that he tries to deceive the lord of the Nolodor elves Kelembribror and his elf-smiths from Eregion, and that he helps them create 19 rings of power (three for the elven kings, seven for the dwarf lords and nine for the human lords), while is the main ring I forged in secret.

His plan was to use the power of one ring to rule over all others, which would give him dominion over all of Middle-earth through the power of the rings over their bearers. Sauron's plan failed when he first put on the One Ring, alerting the Elves to who he was and what his true intentions were. They responded to his devious plan by hiding their rings, leading to open war between the Elves and Sauron, and the destruction of the elven kingdom of Ost-In-Edil.

The Elves managed to keep their three rings, but the Dwarves and Men did not. The dwarves did not submit directly to the influence of Sauron, although the rings filled them with an insatiable desire for gold leading to their downfall, but all nine human kings fell under his rule and became the infamous servants of the Dark Lord - the Nazgul, or wraiths of the ring.

Sauron is one of the most famous villains in the history of literature and film. Although no one has ever seen him in his original, real form, now there are great chances to get to know the true character of the Dark Lord and the main culprit for all the wars and misfortunes of Middle Earth in the second and third ages, the media write.
