At the 78th Golden Globe Awards, the Netflix series "The Crown" won four awards in the category of television achievements, including the best drama series for its fourth season.
The Golden Globe Awards ceremony, the first in the awards season postponed due to the coronavirus, was held virtually tonight with presenters on both sides of the American coast, in Los Angeles and New York.

After focusing on Queen Elizabeth II in the first three seasons, "The Crown" focused on Prince Charles and Princess Diana in the fourth season, although the Queen is still present.
Young British actors Emma Corinne (Diana) and Josh O'Connor (Charles) received awards for best actress and best actor in a drama series at the Golden Globes tonight.
American actress Gillian Anderson was also awarded for Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, in the fourth season of "The Crown" covering her tenure between 1979 and 1990.
Netflix was the big winner in the television category at the Globe Awards this year, because in addition to the awards for "The Crown" it also received two awards for "Queen's Gambit" including for the best miniseries.
Lady's Gambit actress Anya Taylor-Joy also won Best Actress in a Miniseries.
The series "Schitt's Creek" was awarded for the best series in the comedy category, and one of the stars of the series Katherine O'Hara was awarded for the best actress in a comedy.
