Miloš Avramović's new directorial work, the sequel to the film "South Wind", fills cinemas throughout the former Yugoslavia. More than 200 people watched it in the first week of its release, which officially broke the 20-year-old viewership record, which the distributors boasted a few days ago.
The story of Petar Maraš, played by one of the most popular Serbian actors Miloš Biković, interested many, and this time the film brings a lot of action and an unexpected twist. The main character in the new film uses all the advantages of the newly acquired status of the apparently "untouchable leader of the Serbian underground", who is protected by the state itself. He wants to legalize and expand the business, so he invests the illegally acquired money in legal businesses. Looking for a favorable opportunity, he goes to eastern Serbia with his best friend Bača.
At one point, he learns news that will force him to change his plans and return to the street, but his "boss" won't like it. Life at stake, playing by the rules of international drug cartels and numerous spectacular action scenes are just some of the details that await viewers during the 127 minutes that "Acceleration" lasts.
Although in the first part of the film he was in charge of stealing a car, and he did not want to deal with drugs, it is money and power that change Maraš, and the protagonist tells Vijesti:
"Money and power change him and the higher he is on the power scale, the less control he has. We have shown that in this part. Somehow that world is a dark realm that once they enter, they can't get out. He has gravity and pulls them in, and then, in an unexpected way, all those decisions he made in life come to pay. No matter how smart, nimble, fast you are, life is faster", says Biković.
Although he is completely different from Maraš, he defended the character he was given to embody as he says "the best he could".
The end of the story of Maraš in the new part "Acceleration" has not yet been put to rest. Namely, to the delight of fans of this story, this is only one more part of it.
"We will have at least one more sequel to the film," said Biković to the delight of many fans of the "South Wind" story.
In addition to Biković, Milodrag Radonjić, who plays Maraš's friend and partner Bać, also visited the capital of Montenegro. Although this role made him famous, throughout his career Radonjić had the opportunity to find himself on both sides of the law through the roles he played, because unlike "South Wind" where he plays a criminal, in the series "My Father's Murderers" he was given the task of embodying the character of Inspector Zoran Janketić.
"It's about the content of the role, so that's what I'm focusing on, but what's harder or easier is a question of the task," he commented to Vijesti Radonjić.
The second part of the film "South Wind - Acceleration" has been in the repertoire for ten days, and there are as many as seven screenings a day. However, Biković and Radonjić do not bow to the audience after each screening. That's why their arrival at Cineplexx on Friday attracted a lot of attention from the public, mostly teenagers who came in large numbers to take pictures with their heroes and get autographs.
