Keanu Reeves, who will soon return to the big screen with the famous character Neo from the Matrix world, revealed on The Graham Norton Show why he turned down the role in the movie "Speed 2".
After playing Jack in the first part in 1994, he was invited three years later to reprise the role in Speed 2: Cruise Control.
Despite the fact that Sandra Bullock, who was his partner in the first part, agreed to return to the set and play the role of Annie, Reeves turned down the offer.
"I didn't find myself in the script. I really wanted to work with Sandra Bullock again, I also liked playing Jack, I also liked the movie 'Speed', but the action that takes place on the ocean?" said Reeves.
"I have nothing against the artists who worked on the story, but at the time I just didn't think it was right," the actor added.
The Matrix Resurrections, in which Reeves portrays the title character, hits theaters next week.
