The jury rated it the best in the telenovela category

Semi-final judging in the Telenovela category for the 50th International Emmy® Award was held in Dubrovnik. The hosts of this important process that will determine the nominees for this prestigious award, United Media and Nova TV, have gathered in one place the top global and regional professionals who contributed their expertise in selecting the best in the telenovela category.

Among the members of the jury were well-known directors, screenwriters, editors, television professionals and other experts from the world of production, television, film and art.

One of the most famous television professionals with extensive experience in media and television art, member of the Nova Broadcasting Groupe program team, member of the Net Info board, and one of the members of the International Academy for Television Arts and Sciences, Vyara Ankova, arrived in Dubrovnik from Bulgaria. The famous Bosnian director, screenwriter and producer, Danis Tanović, winner of the Oscar for the best foreign film "No Man's Land", was also a member of the jury of the 50th International Emmy® Awards.

Screenwriter and associate professor of dramaturgy at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade Danica Pajović, known for the titles "Shadows over the Balkans", "Marked in the Racket", "Money or Life" and Ivan Živković, director and screenwriter who signed numerous episodes of the series such as "Murderers of my father", "Religions and conspiracies", "Roots", "Time of evil", "Civil servant" and "Shadows over the Balkans".

The jury included well-known and respected Croatian directors such as Branko Ivanda, Darko Drinovac and Nevi Marasović. Zrinka Jankov, editor-in-chief of Nova TV, who actively participated in the growth of the first commercial television, and today the strongest multimedia group in Croatia, and Nataša Buljan, head of the script development department at Nova TV, author and screenwriter of numerous popular series like "Stella", "Pure Love", "Dar Mar", "The Godfather". Among the names of the jury members of the 50th International Emmy Awards in the telenovela category was prominent director of photography Stanko Herceg, as well as film and television producer, president of the Croatian Association of Independent Producers Danijel Pek, whose film "Murina" won the prestigious Camera d'Or award at the Film Festival in Cannes.

United Media and Nova TV would like to thank all the guests and jury members of the semi-final judging in the Telenovela category. Selection for the "International Emmy® Awards" is a lengthy procedure with judging panels meeting in various locations around the world, and the final nominees for a total of 17 categories will be announced this month, while the winners will be revealed at the 50th International Emmy® Awards ceremony, 21 November in New York.
