In the first film of the organization The Books of Books - "Cases of Justice", which begins its cinema life on October 11 at Cineplexx in Podgorica, in addition to the famous Cetinje foursome and the main actors (Nikola Pejaković, Tihana Ćulafić, Izudin Bajrović, Sejdo Alijaj and Zenit Đozić) appear numerous celebrities, among them Dejan Dedović Dedduh, a member of the hip-hop band Who See.
Although this is his first film engagement, the popular Deda actually continued his collaboration with director Zoran Marković Zonja, who was in charge of several videos of the duo from Kotor.
"Zonjo invited me to play in the movie, and I think he was aware of the fact that I've been a big fan of Buksovac ever since they appeared. In recent years, I've been friends with the others - Gaja, Popaj and Goran, so I'm sure they knew that and made me appear in their film. Basically, when I got the offer, I didn't think at all, I grabbed the chance right away", Dedduh explains how his participation in Justice Cases came about.
In addition to the script he had to learn, he raps at one point and reveals that this part is actually his freestyle.
"I remember that we repeated that scene 13-14 times because for me it was too funny a situation where I was watching part of the Buksovac line-up dancing to my rhymes. I giggled so much that we had to repeat it, I couldn't concentrate just from laughing," he said honestly.
As he says, before filming, the only thing he knew was that he would play a policeman.
"I got the script on the set itself and while they were working on other scenes, I quickly learned it," added the interlocutor of Vijesti.
Despite the fact that the shooting took longer and that he repeated the scene several times, Dedduh does not describe working on his first film as hard work.
"On the contrary, it was very fun. I had experience from videos, I know how to pose in front of the cameras, the only thing I was thinking about was to do my part of the job as well as possible in order to reduce their work in editing. Not only was it not difficult for me, but neither were the other members of the team, we really enjoyed it," he says.
After finishing his scene, he decided to stay and watch the shoot.
"I took the opportunity to talk a little with Gaia. The atmosphere was business all that time, so I didn't have much time for a discussion with him. But in the end, I'm glad that I participated in this project and that they pushed this demanding story to the end", Deduhh praised the TBOK team, as well as the film that he saw at the world premiere in early August in Herceg Novi.
"I liked the film, it won me over at first, which was not the case with the pilot episode of Cases of Justice. However, later I watched it several times, saw that I had missed many things, so I learned it all by heart. But the only thing that didn't suit me at the premiere was the place on the Kanli tower, somehow I watched the movie from the sidelines, that's why I can't wait for the cinema screening. I will immediately go to see him again", promises the rapper.
The realization of "The Books of Books: Cases of Justice", previously presented at festivals in Sarajevo and Mojkovac, will be shown throughout Montenegro, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. After the premiere in Podgorica, Buksov fans will be able to watch it in Cetinje on October 12 at the "Grand" hotel, a day later at Cadmus Cineplexx in Budva, and on October 14 at the Tivat Cultural Center. After Montenegro, Cases of Justice is moving to Serbia, where it will premiere in Belgrade on November 8, and a day later in Novi Sad. The people of Banja Luka will have to wait until November 15 for the screening of the film.
Once a pop in a mantle tap danced to our lyrics
Dedduh, who raps as a policeman in the film, reveals whether he had similar situations with law enforcement in his private life:
"There are prankster policemen, although such anecdotes were related to the beginnings of our careers. Most of the time, when they stopped us, the police used to make jokes about our rapping, but with the increase in popularity in our country and in the region, that has decreased considerably".
The rapper does not like to use the gained popularity, so he is always ready to wait in line at the cash register in the store, at the counter...
"I try to be polite and respect the people waiting in line. I like to be equal with everyone. However, it sometimes happens that people recognize me while I'm waiting, so they serve me outside of protocol, but I only agree to that when it doesn't harm other people who are waiting, because otherwise I would feel guilty," says the Montenegrin rapper.
"Once I was recognized by a pop singer who danced to our lyrics in a robe, and on another occasion, a bank counter worker also delighted me because she rapped the lyrics of one of our songs without a mistake. Those situations are very comical, but also wonderful," Dedduh recalled.
