As part of the "Saturday evening film fever" program, this Saturday in the "Gojko Kastratović" hall of the Montenegrin Cinematheque, at 20:1970 p.m., there will be a screening of the film "Rajan's Daughter" from XNUMX, the Montenegrin Cinematheque informs.
It is, as they state, a British romantic drama directed by David Lean, one of the most respected film authors.
"An epic story about the forbidden love of an Irish woman, a solitary Rose, and a British officer, during the First World War, despite the moral and political opposition of their nationally oriented neighbors," it added.
The movie, with its lavish scenery, as described by Cinematheque, was shot on the Dingle Peninsula, the westernmost point of Ireland, they said, "and won two Oscars, for Best Supporting Actor and Best Cinematography."
The screenplay is written by Robert Bolt, while the roles are played by Robert Mitchum, Sarah Miles, Trevor Howard, Christopher Jones, John Mills and Leo McKern.
"Entrance is free," announced the Cinematheque.
