The film about the legendary musician Bob Dylan "A Complete Unknown" will premiere on the Catholic Christmas Day, December 25.
In the film, Timoti Shalame will portray Dylan, and the plot will focus on the famous singer-songwriter's controversial switch to electric instruments at the Newport Folk Festival in 1965.
The 2023-year-old actor - who will be joined in the cast by Edvard Norton, Al Fenning, Boyd Holbrook and Monica Barbaro - will sing himself in the film, after already using his vocal skills in the XNUMX musical "Wonka".
Director James Mangold confirmed that he worked with Dylan on the project and that the "Like A Rolling Stone" hitmaker made his personal contribution to the script.
"I spent a few wonderful days in his company, just the two of us, talking. I have a script that he personally supervised and that is very precious to me. He loves movies. The first time I sat down with Bob, one of the first things he said to me she was, 'I love 'Cop Land,'" said the director during an appearance on the "Happy Sad Confused" podcast.
Although the film will cover Dylan's early years, the director of "Logan" emphasized that "A Complete Unknown" is not strictly a biopic about the music icon.
