The popular series "Ted Lasso" is on the way to get the green light for a fourth season, reports Deadline.
Warner Bros. Television has renewed the contracts of original cast members, including Hannah Wading, Brett Goldstein and Jeremy Swift. Jason Sudeikis is believed to be somehow involved in reviving the series as an executive producer. Warner Bros. TV refused to comment on these allegations.
Stories about the revival of the "Ted Lasso" series have been circulating since its end. Back in January, the executive director of Warner Bros. TV's Channing Dangi hinted to Variety the possibility of continuing the series after the finale of the third season, which aired last year.
"I mean, you've seen the finale, there's a small chance that the door will open again, if necessary. I wouldn't put an end to that sentence yet. There's still a lot of love for that series. I think there's still a lot of interest from Apple." . If the opportunity arises, we would love to come back and shoot more episodes... There are always ongoing talks, but nothing is official," Dangi said at the time.
"Ted Lasso" follows Sudeikis in the role of the main character, a coach of a small American futsal team from Kansas, who is hired to coach a professional soccer team in England, despite having no experience coaching the sport. In addition to Wadingham, Goldstein and Swift, the series also stars Brendan Hunt, Juno Temple and Phil Dunster.
