A series based on the novel "Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austen, which should be shown on the streaming service Netflix, is in the development stage, and the script is being written by the author Dolly Alderton, known for the book "All I Know About Love".
The cast has not yet been chosen, nor has the project been given the green light by streaming services. Netflix already has experience with Austen's works, as in 2022 they adapted "Conviction" into a movie starring Dakota Johnson.
Jane Austen's most famous novel, "Pride and Prejudice" follows the intelligent but stubborn Elizabeth Bennet, who through her relationship with Mr. Darcy, a man she dislikes at first but later falls in love with, learns that love is stronger than pride and prejudice. The book, which was first published in 1813, has been adapted several times, most famously into a 2005 film starring Keira Knightley and Matthew McFadden.
Alderton is best known for her 2018 bestseller "Everything I Know About Love," a memoir about her experiences in her 2022s that has become a bible of sorts for millennials and Gen Z women. The book has been adapted into a seven-part series episode, which Alderton produced for BBC One and the Peacock in XNUMX.
