Rapper Snoop Dog will star in the new sci-fi film "The Last Man" by the French director Like Besona, who directed the hit films "The Fifth Element" and "Leon the Professional".
Plot details are not known, but it is said to be a post-apocalyptic film inspired by "Planet of the Apes" and linked to Snoop Dogg's song "Last Man Standing," writes Variety.
Besson wrote the screenplay for the film "The Last Man", and like "The Fifth Element", the new film will be a mix of science fiction, comedy and action.
"The Last Man" is not the first collaboration between Besson and Snoop Dogg. In 2006, the famous musician lent his voice in Besson's film "Arthur in the Land of the Minimoys", in which he also appeared Madonna, David Bowie, Robert de Niro, Jimmy Fallon i Mija Fara.
"I've been a big fan of Snoop Dogg's music since he recorded the song 'Who Am I'. We met 20 years ago and always wanted to work together again. We just needed a project that would excite us both and we found it, with Snoop in the lead role. I can't wait to get started," the French director told Variety.
