Disney's live-action adaptation of "Snow White" is not doing well with audiences either, as it earned $87,3 million during its first weekend of release, which is far from what was expected for a film that had a budget of $270 million.
The premiere was preceded by poor reviews from critics, as well as negative public reactions due to the choice of the lead actress - Rachel Zegler is of South American origin.
Outrage was caused by both the pro-Palestinian and pro-Israeli comments made by Zegler and Gal Gadot, who plays the evil stepmother, as well as the fact that real short actors were not hired for the Seven Dwarfs, but special effects were used during filming.
